A 5-star hotel in the holy city of Tirupati was looking to bring about a spiritual character to the ambience without resorting to religious symbols or idols. Under the supervision of renowned architect Shimul Kadri, Baaya Design created 10 unique Dhokra wall artifacts that depict the ten incarnations of Lord Vishnu. This theme was carried right across the hotel through specially designed door handles.

This project was challenging to create from the perspective of the ancient Dhokra casting process, and also designing the structural elements required to get symmetry and accuracy. Keeping in mind the theme, each space was given a name and unique handcrafted brass handles Designed in-house, these door handles add to the grandeur of these massive doors. These handles were challenging to create as all four pieces of each set needed to be a perfect fit in order to be functional.
