When you combine a 4000 year old traditional Indian craft that was once considered lost, with the fierce and mighty Tiger - the results are staggering. The craft work evokes creativity in simplicity. These tigers are the folk artist's expression of courage. The tiger is the vehicle of, and sacred to, Danteshwari Mata. A form of the powerful Goddess Durga, she is also the family goddess of the princes of Bastar. The last ruler of Bastar who died in 1966 was considered her incarnation. The tale is a fitting manifestation in a Dhokra sculpture as the craft emerges from Bastar in Chhattisgarh.

A craft that we're working hard to revive to restore its stunning features created by the threadwork involved.

Our wrought iron tree attempts to tease out the true nature of the environs, one that is as complex as it is serene. The wrought iron decor piece uses a smattering of Dhokra accents of gold, made with the 4000 year-old traditional Indian craft in brass. The craft requires complex hand skills in their depiction of the Tree of Life.
